Tax Payer Reminders
Be sure to keep your mailing address updated for both real estate and personal property
with the Town Assessor. Request any changes in mailing address to (508) 693-3554 x201.
Any changes to Motor Vehicle Excise bills should be done with the Registry of Motor Vehicles. at (617) 351-9580 or www.massrmv.com.
If you are the new owner of a property, and the deed is updated by the Assessor after January 1 of the current year, the bill will show the previous owner. The bills will be mailed to the current owner once a new year begins after the sale. See MGL Chapter 59, Section 11.
When a property is sold mid-year, personal property bills are paid for the full assessed year.
